Amazon launches Instant Video app for Nintendo Wii

aiv_wii_instant-videoAfter bringing Instant Video service to Nintendo Wii U, which debuted on November 18, 2012, Amazon has announced that this video streaming service is now available for all Wii owners.  It can found in the Wii Shop Channel to download and install on your Wii console.

“Customers can purchase, rent and stream more than 145,000 movies and TV episodes from the Amazon Instant Video Store, and more than 33,000 titles from Prime Instant Video on Nintendo’s Wii Console,” noted the retail giant in a press release.

Amazon Instant Video app for Wii comes with the following features:

  • Smart lists such as “Recently Watched,” “Watchlist,” “Genre Recommendations” and “Your TV Shows”
  • Ability to purchases from Amazon Instant Video instantly on the Wii
  • Parental Controls and Kid Zone
  • Whispersync to let you seamlessly switch from one device to another

If you are an Amazon Prime subscriber, you will be able stream over 33,000 TV episodes and movies instantly on your NintendoWii.
